IMI Level 2 ELECTRIC VEHICLE Technician

Location: London, UK
Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per annum (DOE)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an independent garage, who are looking to add an IMI Level 2 EV Technician to their growing team in London. This role is ideal for a technician who has EV safety qualifications and is looking to build hands-on experience within a professional EV workshop environment.

  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on electric and hybrid vehicles
  • Safely work around high-voltage systems in line with IMI Level 2 guidelines
  • Perform vehicle health checks and basic inspections
  • Assist senior EV technicians with diagnostics and repairs where required
  • Maintain accurate service records and safety documentation
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • IMI Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Hazard Awareness (essential)
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of EV systems and workshop safety procedures
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to develop EV skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

IMI Level 3 ELECTRIC VEHICLE Technician

Location: London, UK
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an independent garage, who are seeking an experienced IMI Level 3 Electric Vehicle Technician to support increasing demand for EV servicing and repairs. This is a key role within the workshop, working directly on high-voltage EV systems.

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles
  • Safely remove, replace, and recommission high-voltage components
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and system testing
  • Ensure all EV work complies with IMI Level 3 safety standards
  • Support and guide junior or Level 2 technicians
  • Complete detailed job cards and technical reports
  • IMI Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement (essential)

IMI Level 4 Electric Vehicle Technician / EV Specialist

Location: NW London, UK
Salary: Competitive salary and overtime opportunities

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is a well-established independent garage based in North West London, providing MOTs, servicing, diagnostics and repair work across a wide range of vehicle brands.
As the business continues to evolve with the changing automotive market, they are now seeing an approximately 50/50 split between ICE and EV vehicles entering the workshop and are looking to further strengthen their EV capability with the addition of an experienced IMI Level 4 EV Technician.
The workshop already has existing EV capability in place, including an IMI Level 2 qualified technician and a business owner who is qualified to IMI Level 3, and they are now looking for a technically strong Level 4 individual to support more advanced EV diagnostics and high-voltage work.

IMI Level 4 ELECTRIC VEHICLE Battery Diagnostic & Repair Technician

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Our client is a specialist within the electric vehicle sector providing advanced diagnostics and repair solutions for EV and hybrid vehicle battery systems. They work closely with automotive partners, bodyshops, fleets and insurance providers across the UK delivering sustainable and cost-effective alternatives to full battery replacement.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand within the EV market our client is looking to expand their existing technical team and recruit an experienced IMI Level 4 EV Battery Diagnostic & Repair Technician to join their facility in West Sussex.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on diagnosing and repairing faults within electric vehicle battery systems and high-voltage components. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying battery issues, carrying out detailed diagnostics and performing repairs to restore EV battery performance.

The role would suit a technician who is highly competent in EV battery fault diagnosis and repair with a strong understanding of high-voltage systems and safety procedures.

  • Diagnose faults within electric vehicle battery systems and high-voltage components
  • Carry out detailed fault finding and root cause analysis on EV battery issues
  • Perform repairs and refurbishment of EV battery systems and related components
  • Use specialist diagnostic tools and testing equipment to assess battery condition and performance
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with high-voltage safety standards and industry regulations
  • Work closely with the technical team to deliver efficient and sustainable repair solutions
